THE FAITHFUL PASTOR

One of the greatest concerns of every preacher is that the ones to whom he ministers would remain faithful to the gospel of Christ, growing in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing grieves him more than to see one of the flock "fall away". In order to secure the safety of the flock, he has two powerful spiritual weapons: prayer and preaching. The faithful pastor is not the man who always has a comforting word, is always able to be at one's side during troubles, or always manages to be the perfect diplomat, never offending in any way. The faithful pastor is the man who will make known your name before God's throne in prayer, and make known God's name from the pulpit.
