Free And Sovereign Grace — An Option?
Most who profess to believe the gospel of God's free and sovereign grace in Christ consider the gospel of grace to be a nice preference to Arminian, free will, works religion, and are very quick to defend Arminianism as being true Christianity, though somewhat less consistent. Christianity is not a religion of personal preference. Gospel truth is not revealed in Holy Scripture like food in a cafeteria as a series of options from which you choose what you like. The gospel of the grace of God cannot be received in bits and pieces, any more than Christ can be received as Savior but not as Lord. Believers are not people who reject the Truth, but people who bow to and love the Truth.
